I believe the PREA will only be successful thru the proper training of supervisory staff. I know from experiance that it is very difficult at times for an inmate to admit that an incident took place. Thru advanced training in this area to raise suspect and to question delicately will an admission be aquired. Staff needs to be aware that direct questioning will never achieve positive results. One must be trained to recognize the signs. and (though i hate to admit it) be sensitive to the situation which is often difficult for one in our position to change from one role to the other.
