They would like to think that they are. But at the end of the day we are the biggest and most powerful gang in the yard. |

Mick, I noticed that you’re with the Irish Prison Service. We’re profiling corrections departments around the world and could use your help by talking to you or someone else in your agency. Can you email me your contact info, so we can discuss this idea more. I’m at editor@corrections.com. Thanks for all of your commentary on the boards too. Jim |

Gangs do run alot of what goes on at the prisons sadly. It’s a numbers game and they have the advantage there. You have unintelligent individuals willing to do anything to feel like they a part of something important, they get mislead into believing they will get the love and attention from the gang that they never got at home. If parents took care of buisness at home, and raised their kids properly, these violent street/prison gangs wouldn’t be nearly as prevelant, and neither would inmates. |

They don’t run the facility that I work at simply because a few of us refuse to let it happen. |
